The Warner Monarchs are the new top-rated team in Class 9A in this week’s Media Prep football polls. Warner bumped up on spot from a week ago. The Monarchs received 13 first-place votes.
Canistota is rated second and received eight first-place votes. Last week’s number one, Wolsey-Wessington, fell to third after falling to top-rated Class 9AA Parkston. The Warbirds still received a pair of first-place votes.
Faulkton is a unanimous selection for the top team in Class 9B. Hitchcock-Tulare is now rated third, and Herreid-Selby Area is fifth.
Hamlin remains second in Class 9AA. The Chargers received three first-place votes. The other first place vote in the class went to third-rated Howard.
Area teams receiving votes this week include Deuel in Class 11B, Castlewood in 9A, and Potter County in 9B.
Other top-rated teams this week are Sioux Falls Lincoln in 11AAA, Pierre in 11AA, Dell Rapids in 11A, and Winner in 11B.
