The Warner Monarchs are now receiving first-place votes in this week's Class 9A media football poll.
Warner, fresh off a win over Ipswich, moved from third to second in the poll. Gregory took over the top spot in 9A after Canistota lost for the second time this season falling from first to fourth. Wolsey-Wessington is in the receiving votes category.
Herreid-Selby Area continues to be the top-rated team in Class 9B. The Wolverines are the unanimous selection for the number one spot. Hitchcock-Tulare moved up to second in this week's poll after Avon lost, falling from second to fourth.
Hamlin continues to be rated third in Class 9AA, while Aberdeen Roncalli continues to receive votes in Class 11B, just outside the top five.
The South Dakota Prep Media football polls for the week of Sept. 5 are listed below, ranking the top-five teams in each class, record, total points and previous ranking. First-place votes received are indicated in parentheses.
