WAVERLY – Northwestern used a 22-10 second-quarter surge to erase an early deficit and grab a 70-58 non-conference boys’ basketball win over Waverly-South Shore Monday night.

Quintin Fischbach poured in 21 points to lead the Wildcats, who trailed by six after the opening period. Rush Larson contributed 10 points, Jude Ortmeier followed with nine and Samuel Groft added eight.

WSS received 17 points from Cooper Schmit, 16 from Landon Maag, and 11 from Carter Comes.
