SIOUX FALLS – The Northern State men’s basketball team made some Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference history Sunday winning its fourth straight NSIC Tournament Championship. The Wolves hit nine of their first 11 shots and rolled past MSU Moorhead 78-57 at the Sanford Pentagon.

Northern quickly built a double-digit lead they never lost. The Wolves led by 29 points at one stage. Moorhead could get no closer than 13 points down the stretch.

Mason Stark, who was selected tournament MVP, was named to the all-tournament team along with teammates Parker Fox, Andrew Kallman and Tommy Chatman.

Stark led the Wolves with 22 points, and Fox contributed 20.

The win gave Northern six overall NSIC tournament titles, one more than Winona State. The Wolves will host the Central Region Tournament March 13-16 at Wachs Arena.
