Wings pull away from Minot for seventh win

The Aberdeen Wings scored three third-period goals to fuel a 5-3 win over Minot in NAHL Hockey action Friday night at the Odde Ice Center. The Wings improved to 7-1 on the season.

Jack McDonough got the scoring started for Aberdeen in the opening period. Keaton Weis added a second-period goal. The Wings then secured the victory with three goals in the final period coming from Matthew Martin, Sam Scheetz, and Owen Pitters.

The shots on goal were identical at 33-33.

Adam Dybal had 30 saves in goal for Aberdeen.

The same two teams are back in action at the Odde this evening. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m.
