Wings pick up win at Showcase to remain unbeaten

BLAINE, Minn. – The Aberdeen Wings scored three unanswered goals to defeat Wisconsin Windigo 3-1 during the NAHL Showcase on Wednesday. The Wings improved to 3-0 on the season with the victory.

After falling behind 1-0 in the second period, the Wings received a goal from Matthew Martin on an assist from Easton Edwards to tie the score.

Aberdeen then added two goals in the third period to secure the win. Owen Pitter scored an unassisted goal, before Taven James found the back of the net on an assist from Gavin Reed.

Adam Dybal stopped all but one shot in goal for Aberdeen.

The Wings have an off day today, before taking on the National Team Development Program on Friday, and then wrapping up play in the Showcase on Saturday.
